STLDA PLAYMAKERS PROGRAM

The Playmakers Program focuses on fostering creativity and confidence in players by developing their ability to dribble and attack defenders effectively. Designed for players aged 8–12, the program emphasizes individual ball mastery, decision-making in 1v1 situations, and building a fearless attacking mindset.

SPRING REGISTRATION

Key Components of the Program:

  • Ball Mastery: Players will engage in technical drills aimed at enhancing touch, control, and creative thinking in tight spaces. Training sessions will cover a variety of ball mastery work including fast footwork , turning techniques, and change-of-direction moves.

  • Creativity in Dribbling: Players are encouraged to experiment with creative moves such as body feints, stepovers, and other outplaying techniques inspired by top attacking players. These drills aim to build confidence and versatility on the ball.

  • 1v1 Situations: Sessions will include small-sided games and isolated 1v1 drills to simulate real-game scenarios where players learn to beat defenders with skill, timing, and spatial awareness.

  • Decision-Making Under Pressure: Training includes game-like situations that force players to make quick decisions while dribbling and attacking, teaching them when to take risks or circulate the ball.

By combining technical skill development with real-game applications, the program equips players with the tools to be confident, inventive, and effective attackers. The ultimate goal is to empower players to take initiative, express themselves on the field, and excel in 1v1 situations.

This program is ideal for players who want to elevate their attacking abilities and enjoy the freedom to play creatively while building a strong foundation in dribbling and ball control.
